I highly recommend Vaughn as a poker coach. I found him through his previous post and have been working with him over the past two months to improve at 2NL. I had been playing poker for around 3-4 months before that and was a losing player, playing loose ranges, not sure how to react to 3-bets and without a sound strategy.

Over the last two months, Vaughn has helped me play good ranges, worked with me to develop a solid preflop/postflop strategy and improved my poker fundamentals, my hand reading skills, working with tools (Equilab, GtoW) and bet sizing. His poker classes quickly became a highlight of my week, something I eagerly looked forward to.

Beyond the scheduled coaching sessions, Vaughn has also been helpful in answering additional questions during the week and forwarding relevant resources.

I have been playing the game for years, mainly small stake MTTs, however, moved over to cash about 2 years ago and was very much break even/losing (graph below).

Since my coaching began, I spent 7 weeks playing 10NL & now the last 6 weeks playing 25NL. I am a part-time player (about 7 – 10 hours per week), however the goal is to take this further and progress through the stakes. I have only played 7.5k hands at 25NL, however, I am up 1,500 BB (21/100).

This is primarily thanks to Freedom, and I will be continuing my coaching through the NY and beyond. I feel much more confident about the game and have done very little solver work; he keeps the game simple and concise.

I’ve had 4 sessions with Vaughn and can definitely recommend him to anyone playing 100NL or below. He went through my database and identified a number of leaks in my game. When reviewing hands, Vaughn has a great formula of asking the student for their thought process in the hand, and then distilling the info down to make future decisions easier for the student.

He is able to re-phrase things that I know intuitively but can’t easily articulate, into heuristics that can be applied in the future, simplifying your thought process and freeing up mental bandwidth for the tough decisions.

When I started coaching I was playing 50NL and am now shot-taking 100NL. This is high value coaching in my opinion for anyone who is looking to move through the micros/low stakes. Also just an awesome dude and easy to talk to.

I had a few sessions with FreedomPoker and can highly recommend him. He is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. During our sessions we covered many different aspects of coaching including live plays, hand reviews, strategic implementation, consistency plans and mental game struggles.

I am a 50NL player and, like all 50NL players I imagine, I had a relatively solid understanding of fundamentals but had been hampered by strategic and mental game leaks. FreedomPoker was very helpful in identifying and contextualising these leaks and his suggestions were always very useful pieces of advice.

One of the absolute best things about FreedomPoker’s coaching is the methodical and straightforward nature of it. Freedom is not afraid to simply lay out strategies and discusses their implementation in-game in a way that is very easy to follow. He is also in the process of creating material that makes this learning process even easier.

I also have to congratulate Freedom for being able to adjust some of this material and advice to my particular playstyle. Unlike Freedom and the majority of his other students I am a redline player. Freedom was excellent at adjusting to this and so our sessions were heavily focused on exploits and pool tendencies. To be able to successfully coach somebody despite having a different playstyle is very impressive and so no matter what your graph looks like I can safely say that any low-stakes player would benefit a lot from his coaching.

There seemed to be a genuine interest and care for my success in poker and I have found his support incredibly useful. There were times where I was overly critical of myself and Freedom was very encouraging while not sugarcoating any actual issues.

I had some significant personal and technical issues at the beginning of last month so I only have a small sample size to show but for what it is worth my graph for the past month has been very positive. Been running good of course but I can definitely say that I have benefitted a lot from the coaching with FreedomPoker.

I’ve now done 4 sessions with Freedom Poker. I’ve worked with a few coaches before, but his approach changed everything for me. He breaks down tough concepts into simple, actionable steps that build real confidence in your decisions. One of the most valuable parts of working with him is how he challenges your thinking and pushes you to see the game from a higher level. The only downside is he’ll challenge your ego, but that’s what leads to genuine growth in my opinion; at least that was a breakthrough for me. If you’re serious about becoming a stronger, more strategic player, his coaching is a no-brainer.
